DRESDEN, GERMANY: When the World Psychiatric Association held a
special international meeting on the subject of coercion in
psychiatry, MindFreedom united with several other organizations of
mental health consumers and psychiatric survivors to negotiate
inclusion inside the conference.

(4) Linking Zyprexa and TeenScreen Controversies
In a news analysis for MFI, Lloyd Ross, a psychologist and human
rights activist, ties together the scandals of the way the
psychiatric drug Zyprexa was marketed, with the targeting of
America's youth through unscientific mental health screening programs
such as TeenScreen. Lloyd encourages you to take action today to support
the youth of the USA.

(5) Katie Couric Investigates Death of Rebecca Riley: You Can
Comment on CBS Web site.
On the CBS television show "60 Minutes" on 30 September 2007, Katie
Couric looked into the death of four-year-old Rebecca Riley who was given
multiple psychiatric drugs after being diagnosed "bipolar." The parents
were charged with murder.

(6) Alert: Psychiatric Survivors & Allies May Comment in Medical
Magazine
Maths Jesperson is a long-time psychiatric survivor activist, leader and
actor in Sweden, who is calling upon psychiatric survivors and allies all
over the world to submit comments to an online medical magazine.
This online magazine covers all kinds of medical topics, but the
editor, who is a psychiatrist, has reached out to psychiatric
survivors and allies to ask for their commentary, and articles.
