WORKCAMPS IN PERU
The OIKOS offers a program of voluntary work camps during 2011 in cooperation with the organization SonQoyKipi Peru.
The firing rates are valid for 20 days.
The fee, which includes the annual membership fee all'OIKOS, is € 100.00 and must be paid when submitting their application.
The contribution to operating expenses of the camp (meals and lodging) is 210,00 Euro and must be paid to the project coordinator on arrival in Peru.
All fields of work are open to young people over the age of 18 who come from every country in the world.
SPANISH COURSE
Very important information for all the volunteers accepted in the Peru Sonqoikipy Projects
Sonqoykipi besides the workcamp it self, gives the opportunity to take part in an Intensive Course of Spanish for all the volunteers interested. This activity is organized 7 days before the starting date of each camp. The volunteers MUST GO to the city of Ayacucho to take part in it.
After participating the volunteer must travel to his/her project meeting point.
The cost for the Spanish language course is: 150,00 Euro

LOCATION : Ayacucho is a historical city of Peru, located at 2700 m. altitude, with all the facilities expected of modern cities. The nearest airport is the international airport of Lima "Jorge Chavez".
ACTIVITIES : The project is organized in collaboration with a local organization that deals with children aged between 1 month and 17 years, providing them with food shelter, food, and trying to give them a better future, by strengthening, in particular , of training activities.
The work of volunteers will be organized together with staff of the local on the basis of their expertise, experience and motivation and is centered in three areas.
- Organization: intervention with children, developing specific educational programs.
- Training: Start of workshops with children to encourage their participation
- Management: Organization of workshops on various topics such as crafts, painting, music.
